Redirecting Domains
If you are creating a domain for your funnel, but when you add "www." to the root of the domain it does not route properly, this is most likely because your do not have an A root for "www." associated with your domain. However, there is a way to redirect your domain to allow for your domain to allow for this type of issue. Complete the following steps, and your domain will reroute from "www" to your domain without the root. NOTE: This can only be done in Cloudflare and Google Domains. If you use anything other than Cloudflare or Google Domains, see the link below on how to transfer these records.
Cloudflare
The following steps assume that you have already created your root domain within Cloudflare as an A root and connected it to GHL and the corresponding funnel.
- Add CNAME record for www pointing to flash.funnels.msgsndr.com and keep the Proxy Status "Proxied"
- Add a Page Rule for the URL www.yourdomain.com/*
- Pick the setting Forwarding URL --> 301 - Permanent Redirect
- In the destination URL, add https://yourdomain.com/$1
Google Domains
- Go to Google Domains, and select "DNS"
- In "Synthetic Records", complete the following steps:
- Drop Down Menu - Subdomain Forward
- Subdomain - www
- Destination URL - [your full domain]
- (example - google.com)
- Select the following:
- Permanent redirect
- Forward path
- Enable SSL
- Click "Add"
