Unique User Phone Numbers

Let's say you have multiple users (such as setters/closers/support/etc.) and you want each one to have a unique number to reach out to clients or have clients reach out to their specific phone number, you can easily create a new number within GHL and assign it to a specific user. Complete the following steps to see how to create and assign phone numbers to all your users.

  1. Create a New Number
    1. Within your sub-account, go to "Settings" → "Phone Numbers", and click "+ Add Number"
      1. Select the Country and Area Code, and click "Search".
      2. Select a number, and click "Save".
    2. Click the pencil icon next to your new number to edit the following fields:
      1. Number Name - Give the new number a specific name such as "[user's name] number"
      2. Forwarding Number - if you would like contacts to be able to call your user and forward to their personal phone, input the user's phone number.
      3. Call Recording - check the box for compliance purposes
      4. Incoming/Outgoing Call Timeout - input the designated time the call will ring before being forwarded to a voicemail
      5. Click "Update".
  2. Add User (if already added, go into the user profile and skip to "Step c.")
    1. Within your sub-account, go to "Settings" → "My Staff", and click "+ Add Employee" 
    2. In the "User Info" tab, input all the pertinent information for the user
    3. In the "Call & Voicemail Settings", select the appropriate Twilio number for the user in the ""Inbound Twilio Number" field.
    4. Click "Save".

Once this is complete your user will automatically have that unique number as their GHL number that will be used to contact any potential leads or contacts within your sub-account.
