Subsequent Database Reactivation
When it comes time to run subsequent Database Reactivations, follow these steps.
1. Turn the old DR offer to draft, and make a clone of it. Title the new DR appropriately (usually with the date of launch in the title along with the offer), and make any changes needed with the copy. This can involve mixing up the offer, the greeting to match the season (e.g., "Merry Christmas {{contact.first_name}}, it's Ashley at...), and anything else that's needed to make the offer look more human. A little effort goes a long way. Once that's done, set the DR offer workflow from draft to published and test it on yourself.
2. Make sure the most updated version of the database is in the sublocation. If you've set up your inbound sources to make sure every single lead your client captures flows through your nurturing software, then this should already be done. If there's a source you missed, you'll need to re-acquire your clients database and re-upload it (GHL will filter out duplicates). We recommend you also take action to plug that lead source and route it toward their sublocation, so every lead will get nurtured and the database will always be growing automatically.
3. Set up a filter in smart contacts. Go to Contacts --> More Filters. In most cases, you want to filter out everyone who's opted out, and everyone who's closed already. To do this we want to filter out DND and Won Status. At the time of the writing of this article, there's not a filter for "Pipeline Status: is NOT"--only "Pipeline Status: IS." So first what we have to do is filter to Won Status and add a tag, "won." Once you've tagged all the closed sales, now filter out the tag, "won" to exclude those contacts from this Database Reactivation.
The last step is to filter out everyone who has last activity within 14 days. This means anyone who's texted or been texted within weeks we want to exclude. You can do 7 to be more aggressive if you need to include more leads. 4. Now you're ready to launch a subsequent DR like normal. You can click the + button above your filters to save the smart list for future use. You can also create a workflow whose trigger is opportunity status changed to "won" and whose action is to add the tag, "won" so that you don't need to do that step manually in the future.
**Note: Although your filtering settings may look slightly different in aesthetic, the same filters can be applied. Add the following filters:
- DND --> No
- Tag --> is not --> Won
- Last Activity --> More than --> 14 Days (or 7 days, depending on preference)
